My most subversive act at the YMCA is to turn the lounge TV away from the CP24 default to Turner Classic Movies.
CP24 is on screens in so many different waiting rooms, especially healthcare. No wonder people are scared.

The "classic" DB and DBZ movies received a comprehensive color correction. For movies sourced from WEB-DLs, dark details were merged from the AVC and HEVC versions, like our DBZ merge. Color adjustments also cause the size of the movies to expand to retain the new details.

I would like to see what Mark Ruffalo's career would be if he chose projects such as "whatever Adam Sandler's making," and voices in classic films like "Top Cat," "Pups Alone," "Norm of the North," and "Jungle Shuffle" instead of Marvel movies, Spotlight, Foxcatcher, and Shutter Island
The "lost the rest of my barbershop quartet" guy thinks it's his politics that keep the roles away

Back to back classic movies is BETTER than endless algorithmically suggested variations on something you liked once from the last 20 years.

So happy new year and happy public domain day!
Lots of entries in 2026: Thomas Mann, Paul Claudel Albert Einstein and slowly getting in the heart of classic Hollywood talkies with movies from 1930 (Blue Angel, Animal Crackers, original design of Pluto…).

Quote by George Bailey (played by Jimmy Stewart) in "It's a Wonderful Life", a 1946 American Christmas fantasy drama film. It's a Christmas classic and one of my favorite movies.

Another favorite: 1975 edition of Robert Sklar’s classic MOVIE-MADE AMERICA: A CULTURAL HISTORY OF AMERICAN MOVIES.

The cover of the revised and updated 1994 edition is such a bore.

Loving classic movies as a Black person is sometimes more self-destructive than loving this country

For day 365 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I chose My Sweet Charlie (1970). Patty Duke is a pregnant woman who seeks refuge in an empty vacation home and meets a NYC attorney (Al Freeman Jr.) also on the run. A classic in every sense

just watched these movies and gods damn they are good, a perfect mix of modern satire and classic murder mystery. i was not expecting to love these movies this much but godsdamn we do
Knives out: the upper middle class are squabbling vicious children who do not deserve their inheritance

Glass onion: the new elite are the stupidest murderous cunts alive and deserve your scorn

Wake up dead man: those preaching anger as salvation are leading you to death, hope and kindness matter

TUBI remains undefeated. Just saw that this classic was available there the other day and watched it w my daughter. You don’t have to watch the first one, just start here. A rare case of the sequel being way better. It‘s as delightful as ever.

Think God!

Happy New Year, #TCMParty fam! Here to start 2026 off right with Nick and Nora. A marathon of #TheThinMan movies on a school sick day was my introduction to classic cinema. Bless my late mother for doing that for me. I probably didn’t get all the jokes when I was a kid. But that’s okay. #TCMParty
