#Chöre
Stalled for 4 days on this cleaning chore. It took 20 minutes. Why is it always like this?

Feeling so unenthused bathroom visits seem like a goddamn chore. The alternative would be hideous, so persist I must.

really beneficial too bc a genuine criticism of arcade games is that many of them start off *way* too easy in order to hook players, the early game starts becoming a chore given enough repeat plays

Tantamount to giving your most disruptive kindergartner a big boy chore to keep them focused and feeling important.

A traditional JRPG with a focus on monster recruiting. Each monster recruited joins the party and fusions can also be done to create stronger ones. Admittedly, this aspect of the game is what ultimately made me leave it. It felt like Iike a chore and just not that fun.

Ever had your neck click while walking and realize it's because that pillow you've been meaning to replace isn't supporting your head when you sleep? So glad I put off that chore for months to save me $50... that I eventually would have to have paid anyway. Really worth the poor sleep.

A lot of times writing can be a chore. When you're spending a long weekend someplace where you can write poolside, it's the complete opposite.

I request context but only if it's not a chore

Not to mention, yeah, the friction of hammering an idea into shape is what gives it value, and unexpected qualities. I'd get it if they said: look guys, we just want to save some time on the trivial shit. But don't frame it as if it was some kind of Herculean chore, man. Google for hours, my ass.

If you can doomscroll for hours on end, you can learn that thing you've been wanting to learn, play that game you haven't gotten around to, do that chore that's been staring you in the face.

You'll feel so much better once you realize that and do the thing 💛

I try and do mine every 6 months or so with some whetstones I have, but it's a bloody chore, would much rather give them to a pro to do!

Vacuuming, for me, would be tolerable if they weren't artificially loud; since I live with a half-dozen others, the chore I dread the most is dishes.
We fear using our dishwasher, our sink is kind of small, and I have to organize all the dishes before I wash them-- which uses a lot of energy/spoons.

i was thinking - what's the most despicable, daunting around-the-hoise chore for you?

for me it's vacuuming and, to lesser extent, moping the floors. i would rather sweep than vacuum, even if it's less efficient and takes more time!!

being a grown up is such a chore

I'm not even sure it counts as a (fancy) tailcoat bc the pockets make it look so bulky? It's like a tailcoat and a chore coat had a baby

I also enjoy taking a drive on a nice sunny day along winding roads where I live in coastal RI.

Tinkering on an old car isn't a chore but a challenge and something that's becoming lost with everything becoming computer based in vehicles. Analog will always be better for me and many others 2/

Yup 🫠 its definitely gonna be a chore but i tend to be determined do curating the follows has been relatively easy when do get around to it

The Beach Boys Love You (Warner Brothers MSK 2258, 1977).

Rock snobs like to pretend this album is good because it marked a return to full involvement from Saint Brian Wilson, but it’s just kooky. The synths sound dope on vinyl though.

Most artists will do a crude sketch faster than the whole chore of opening up a device, going to an AI app, typing in the description and waiting for the algorithm to poop out an image.

(Plus, when opening up the device, getting side tracked by notification and ADHD traps)

Spending my first day of winter break as ADHD God intended: off my meds, doing whatever neglected household chore catches my attention first, mainlining too much news.

It’s my most played game of all time!

I know that it’s a bulshit argument, but comunicate in English sometimes it’s a chore for me.

Dragon’s Dogma it’s a 7/10 execution of a 100/10 idea of gaming philosophy.

Discovered using my in-laws' tape dispenser was a major cause of the wrapping tape fury I was experiencing. Lord knows how old it is, but the blade is blunt as a butter-knife.

Switched to my old faithful one, and suddenly wrapping's no longer a chore.

Well, no more than normal anyway now.
