Had to be in the last few years then....... cuz when I learned I have celiacs..... they didn't have that option so I stopped going 💀 and never checked again

Interesting.... maybe I'll pop in to the one near me again now that they have a GF option

No, I don't think it's reasonable for celiacs to just never eat packaged food (I certainly do eat packaged food!), but we've got to stop pretending that it's impossible for someone to be getting glutened because they're eating products you think should be safe. Nothing is 100%.

Sometimes I do feel like people just throw flour all over everything just to be dicks to celiacs. The number of times I’ve screamed (in my head) why is there gluten in this in the grocery store…

im so happy i take probiotics like yesss my gut health is SUPERIOR (i have celiacs disease but that's an autoimmune disorder but somehow it effects my tummy.) ((did i use the correct term. affect? effect.))

I might have to buy it just for the bread. Does it use oat though? That's a common sub and it looks like I can't have that either, something like 13% of people with celiacs also don't have the enzyme to digest the protein found in oats. We're the unluckiest of the unlucky.

The extra costs of living with a chronic illness or disability is seldom discussed. Pain management tools, mobility aids, food and more add up.

Why not date another hot tgirl with celiacs like me uwu

My wife has celiac. It's impossible trying to eat out. The most annoying thing are the places that have somewhat of a gf menu, but don't have a separate stations to avoid contamination. That's gf as a lifestyle choice. Not for celiacs.

Celiacs tragically left in the dust on fake meats. I miss Gardein and Morningstar 😭 we had a little song for the fake fish sticks 😭

Me already spiralling and dooming bc my test for celiacs disease is tomorrow and I get a text from my mom that has an AI generated meme

Kroger decided that the celiacs can just do without ham this year, so I'm going to be forced to go to Walmart. Boo.
Please clap. I am finally going to the grocery. I really need to get started on Thanksgiving prep.

idk how helpful itll be but my mom was diagnosed w celiacs in 2010ish (my sister who is 17 has it also) and the difference between 2010 and today is incredible. Restaurants are more caring, grocery stores have more options, people generally know more. If people judge you theyre rare. And assholes.

yup, couple months ago! I suddenly developed a ton of random food allergies and intolerances out of nowhere. my doctor is pretty sure it's celiacs but couldn't do a proper test. absolutely have a bad gluten intolerance at the very least 😔

haven't tried those yet but I absolutely will! tysm!! 💗

ordered GF baked goods from this place and they get delivered frozen and you just bake them when you want them. It's a subscription but they let you order just one box.

the rosemary focaccia is surprisingly good but am about to test a bagel

(in case any celiacs need a GF bread source)

Celiacs is the best 🙃

Then again, there are people with celiacs which is proof that actually there likely wasn’t even a god to begin with because what creature would deprive or allow someone to be deprived of one of life’s most simple joys? But I digress
I know that if there is a god, they have left us alone on this earth, but the fact that pasta exists does make me wonder if maybe, just maybe

I'm sorry to bother, but you've been sharing a lot of SNAP info - have you happened to come across any info on help for those with celiacs or allergies?

We're struggling and the only info I can find is "go to a food pantry" but none of the ones in my area will accommodate dietary restrictions 🫠

yeah, sometimes celiacs will say "if only someone rich and influential had celiac! Medicine would care about us and label laws would improve!"
there are plenty of rich/influential people with celiac, they just mostly lack awareness/think of it as an individual medical issue
In my dreams this will put paid to the divisive, power-hungry, rants about, "If only this affected <<bugbear in my unhinged ideology>> THEY would stop it overnight!" Uh... nope. People aren't that smart. It kills rich and poor, rock stars and roadies. The 1918 flu did too, and nobody much cared.
The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 has become the most extensive cover-up in human history. Authorities have ceased nearly all testing, tracking, and reporting, in an attempt to hide countless instances of infection, illness, and mortality resulting from the uncontrolled spread of Covid-19.

A veure?

I literally get the max amount for 2 person household and it's still not $20/day

Tbh $20/day is still incredibly low

COL in some states is wild

Not to mention many people have costly food restrictions (I have celiacs and the cheapest bread I can get is $6)
