dozed off and came up with a whole little AU in my head where halbrand manages to convince galadriel & celebrimbor he's just an illegitimate heir, gives up his title to stay in eregion and help celebrimbor continue to make rings, and forges a ring that "gifts" him the grace of the eldar. 🥺
i think everyone forgets that celebrimbor manipulates the HELL out of elrond in this scene... he's lying and playing on his relationship with durin. he's such a bitch tbh.

I think the show/Tolkien in general defines light as love, but especially Celebrimbor-- see his story about Morgoth's heart almost being turned by staring into the Silmarils. Which of course means, for Brimby, the Silmarils were crafted as an embodiment of love
