#CDCS
You clearly have no idea of what happened. They didn't cause the crash. They predicted it, shorted it and profited from it.

The crash was coming regardless of their actions.

If you're looking for culprits, read up on sub prime and cdcs.

remember when Reagan had his press secretary mockingly imply journalists were gay if they tried to ask if the president was doing anything about HIV/AIDS in an attempt to bully them into not talking about it

(he was, if you count defunding the CDCs research on it at the height of the epidemic)
Ronald Reagan said it. #NoKings tomorrow 10/18

We’re really going to need some version of regional CDCs, like what already happened with Covid shot coordination, organized by Dem governors, or there will be no public health data or policy in this country.

RFK’s ascension was a top five fiasco of Trump 2.0.

I honestly think this should have already been happening following the CDCs choice during peak COVID to center capital interests over public health, but the onus is on local and state public health to build their own network outside the federal “public health” establishment.

CDCs demand to break up MMR vax into separate monovalent shots is public health malpractice.
These vax are widely used worldwide. The 2 manufacturers (Merck & GSK) could easily decide to abandon the US market rather than take a big financial risk on clinical development & licensure of separate shots
Andrew Wakefield claimed without evidence in a retracted study that there was a link between autism and the combination MMR vaccine -- but not separate shots.

Wakefield filed a patent for his own separate shots the year before the study was published.

Alarm as CDC calls for separate MMR vaccines despite measles outbreak
Concerns that three separate shots would be more costly and time-consuming, and keep kids from being vaccinated

Such a good episode 👏🏽
@mikebonin.bsky.social pushed back on the idea that “covid is mild now” w public health/herd immunity. Still disappointed Long COVID wasn’t mentioned. We know LC risk increases w each infection & CDCs own data show Black, Latiné, & LGBT folx disproportionately impacted.
Loved having @lataco.bsky.social's @eltragon.bsky.social as a co-host this week along with @mikebonin.bsky.social, the ultimate LA Taco x LA Podcast crossover episode.

Biden did that? 🙄 You can't simply say "Biden is good because Trump was bad." When it comes to mis-handling of SARS2, their policies (and those of their respective CDCs) are about on equal footing.

Vax and Relax, wash your hands, never mention "airborne" or "wear a mask," suppress wastewater data.

Still surprises that around one in five deaths in England and Wales could have been treated and prevented. Completely unnecessary deaths. Also that top of the list are cancers. More so in poorer areas. More CDCs, GPs and public health needed in poorer areas.

Californian here. Been saying for quite some time that the greedy anti-taxers who are celebrating doge cuts will likely, in time, face much higher state and local taxes to fill the void. So let’s have 50 CDCs /NOAAs/whatevers instead of one. Super efficient 😩

Impacts on Global Health are the worst of MAGA v2. No analysis of health impacts of policies on fed funding, migration, tariffs. From hero to zero on contributions to WHO & CDCs. And potential defunding of bipartisan support for PEPFAR, USAID and NIH research has DESTROYED trust in the Global South

Unless they use magic. Not sure where the skilled staff will come from. Even existing CDCs have had problems on that score - coverage has not been patchy across country to shortages-
