godot tip: 4.5 adds a new export option for toggling groups (which you may have seen for some built-in nodes), but it is indeed possible to access it through GDScript using export_custom! #godot #indiedev #gamedev

boolean logic & search query operators has been hard depreciated for 10+ years. despite some 'official' sources stating otherwise. even in advanced search

These days I feel like Google's search just completely ignores boolean operators & just displays whatever the fuck it wants. Specifically when trying to exclude terms from search results.

In this video we have a quick look at solving a boolean hole for subdivision ready topology.

Gonna help you out; pass it on. When you're looking at results,

Search Tools > switch "All Results" to "Verbatim"

I've never bothered to test if it covers ALL boolean logic, but this does revert operation to a much more accurate keyword search, like you'd expect. ✌🏼

This is a little easier to parse than most legal headlines but I appreciate the explanation anyway. I don't like doing Boolean Algebra to figure out whether or not we still have healthcare

👀 React Suspense for CPU-intensive tasks

We've heard about it a long time ago, and the API has recently been refined as a simple "defer" boolean prop.

🚧 Not ready for prime time, but it should be in the next experimental channel release

AI or smart search engines are demonstrably worse because they suck at parsing terms and don't use Boolean operations. Having to reword a search term 16 times is worse, not better.

Basically, each parameter can have a basic "type" corresponding to a specific user interface input (boolean, range, option).
This means I can list everything in one place and not have to worry about input errors when retrieving or defining values :)

(Nothing revolutionary, but it works for me :) )

wait... wait... but do you have *3* boolean states, like Typescript?

Because Rosie's Rampage is 2.5d, I sometimes have to make a toggable Faux wall for use in cutscenes.

Also, I'm messing with adding geometric detail with Boolean modifiers.

Still trying to leak sensitive data?!
Instead of a 'safelist' for WHAT TO INCLUDE, you need a 'blocklist' for what to exclude!

Meet Omit. It's the perfect utility type for when you want to return ALMOST everything from an object, but need to guarantee you hide sensitive fields:

Post the link to the meta study or at the very minimum the title and the authors and which journal article we can find it at, if you dont have the link. We can do a Boolean search, if needed. If you know what the actual fuck that is lmao

I found a problem: `toBoolean` returns the inverted original value, but it should return it in the boolean type.

Are you kidding? Now I’ve got my own hat on! The number of programmers who don’t understand the +UX of a boolean AND (or the impact of a poorly-placed OR 😩) never fails to mystify me. I can’t shop online effectively at two major retailers because I swim in search results if I use even two words. 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

With everything that happened lately I forgot to post the comparison as I promised.
The 'broken' left shoulder-brush on the 2023 model is due to the boolean differences I did back then so the mirror would fit there once printed.
I like to think I've improved at least a little in 2.5 years😅

The string of - I have to add at the end of my Google searches is ridiculous.

-ai, -tiktok, -facebook

It’s like a boolean spell every time.

Love when baseball announcers get bored enough to spout random facts. “This is just like when Washington Boolean hit a two run double into a swamp in 1918.”

building a resumé with Typst is so nice

I can use boolean flags (loaded from a TOML file!) to conditionally adapt or hide sections

incredibly convenient :D
