Fun fact 📚
In the 18th–19th centuries, readers often rented books by the hour. You paid for reading time, not ownership.

Binge-reading has always been part of the experience.

A small woodcut with Prague's cityscape (?) at the end of an epigram. The page and the #epigram are included into a book printed in #Prague. It's a miniature reference, a playful detail, and likely only done because the printer had such a woodcut available during the printing process. #bookhistory
