idk why so many players AND blizzard alike have this idea that faction conflict = BFA level of war and bloodshed

the factions can just…. Have different interests and cultures they want to maintain? maybe at odds with the other factions interest? it’s not all or nothing

I hate that I did the BfA campaign on my main but at least I can always count on my bud @starrytiger.bsky.social to let me sync with his alts so I can see my goddamned husband!

AAAAAAAAAAA
I see it in the BfA mount guide for some reason.

Also made myself run the horde war portion for BFA (again), last night n 2 things.

- they didn't bother adding a certain (fairly important) NPC when you mourn Rastakhan

- Mathias Shaw's facial hair being different both ingame & cutscenes, wonder if they forgot their own characters (they did)

Another from Friday's BFA rehearsal at Dominican
@linesbfa
(Unfortunately, after many many years, this program is winding down. For reasons well documented in the press since January, enrollment at schools that make higher education possible for less-wealthy students is down.)

Ogre Trivia #210: Crushridge Hold is an ogre mound found in Alterac, and is the home of the Crushridge clan. No quests take place here, so it serves no function in-game. Since the Horde drove the Crushridge out of the Ruins of Alterac in BfA, this is their only settlement.

I... am REALLY curious if/how they're going to weave the night elves into the story of the haranir & the roots of Teldrassil. I know we can't go into the past and easily fix BfA/Shadowlands and how it handled (or straight up excluded the victims' reaction to) the night elves' (1/?)

I'm ngl a part of me is looking forward to the lead up of Midnight to be over.

Despite my own personal excitement for this expac, I've not seen an expac this scrutinised in the lead up since... honestly, Shadowlands or BFA.

Once again, I am worried that expectations might be too high to manage.

the way it almost happened in bfa makes me SOOOOOO mad
November 16, 2025 at 3:53 AM
When we finally got Zandalar/BfA (aka when my female trolls all finally got EYELIDS), I literally spent the entire first week in Dazar'alor just wandering all over the city. Our first troll city that wasn't a ruin! (Also still have mad love for the zone music from WotLK, I started in vanilla tho)

Born in Tokyo in 1971, Tokuhiro Kawai is one of the most renowned artist of the contemporary Surrealist Asian movement. He earned a BFA in 1995 and an MFA in 1997, both from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

old doodle of BfA-era Kal and her very special stick
November 15, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Only at the start of each expansion/patch. Towards the end of BFA I started turning it off.

Do people actually play WoW with the music on? I don't think I have heard the actual ingame music since BFA

Yesterday afternoon with the Dominican University BFA Fall Showcase

it's also not at all like how it was in the past mechanically sadly
i used to love WoW and i still think legion/BFA era WoW was more fun than all of FFXIV for me, but god it's not the same game

at least gw2 still cares about it's base

The blood elves had teeth and spine and edge in MoP, WoD, Legion, BFA.

This isn’t a “it was only TBC Grox” thing

They’ve been about that life the whole game.

They had a fundamental culture shift post Arthas, and regaining the Sunwell didn’t change that, if anything it reinforced their view.
Also the lines themselves

We went from

“victory lies ahead”
“Glory to the Sindorei”
“Death to all who oppose us”
“We WILL have justice”

To “we endure” “through perseverance, strength”

God it’s so fucking lame and spineless and live love laugh. Give the Sindorei back some fucking teeth you wimps

I liked her so much in Legion and BfA, and while I think her writing got a lot better in 11.2, I'm feeling pretty over her
November 15, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Midnight has gotten a *lot* better at depicting battlefield scenes like this one compared to DF and TWW. Not quite to WoD/Legion/BfA levels, but much less sparse.
November 15, 2025 at 12:10 AM
YES! I'm so angry blizzard removed the indigenous charm of the trolls. The premise was interesting when they were the actual natives of azeroth fighting back against the titan influenced colonizers. BFA changed that forever when they stated they were actually born from the well of eternity and this
November 14, 2025 at 11:59 PM
I wish they could just like... retcon this somehow.

(I am personally still mad at the war in BfA tho lol)
November 14, 2025 at 11:55 PM
I am not even mad about the war in BfA, I am mad about this
November 14, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Thats what me and maria wrre theorizing, even the color he uses for the gold is so much more similar to the mop zandos than bfa, he has a model that is much higher res thats not ingame that was used for the cutscenes but im so sad his ingame one is even crustier than the zandalari player model 😭
November 14, 2025 at 7:34 PM
...Rastakhan's model is about equal in crustiness to MoP-era Zandalari models. Which also don't have heel-toes, or at least heel-nails.
Makes me feel like Rastakhan is OLD-old, as in, creation of his current model was started long ago and it was never brought in line with how Zandas ended up in BfA.
