500m from centre they claim

But where it’s listed on Google Maps is nowhere where it is! It’s 2km out of town on a busy road. Not fun at dusk on a bike

Sighetu Marmației - Beclean pe Someș is a *great* trip

Yes the train is grimy and old. Yes it’s stinky and you’ll need a good shower afterwards. But this is an amazing experience through the hills of northern Romania

Meanwhile the rain has stopped. So I’ll have a quick cycle around Solotvyno 🇺🇦 before my train later on the Romanian side south to Beclean

I’m not optimistic about any of these borders though - infra is all too knackered, towns too small
