Since Pell access has been restored 4 yrs ago, many states have followed with state grant restoration but IL is now behind the curve in building a robust landscape of college degree opportunity in prisons across the state. We can change that now with HB3740 please call the IL senate #BackOnTheMAPIL

There is no opposition to this bill and college in prison has been bipartisan everywhere we’ve seen public funding restored. This bill has just languished in the Senate and all we need to pass it in January is for it to be brought to a vote. Please call before the new year! Let’s get #BackOnTheMAPIL

We’ve been pushing for years to restore student aid (MAP grants) to incarcerated students in IL and we are SO CLOSE now. Please call IL Senate President Don Harmon and tell him you support HB3740 and ask him to bring the bill to a vote. #BackOnTheMapIL
