Climate change is a major threat to #seabirds. One mitigation approach to climate change, exploiting renewable energy through offshore wind farms, itself poses a potential threat to species like Kittiwake. Our recent study looked into this. Discover key findings ➡️ bit.ly/_Kittiwake #BTOScience

⚠️ BTO research predicts devastating declines in seabird populations in Britain & Ireland under future climate change. Some species face staggering losses by 2050, with up to 90% declines for Puffin and more than 70% declines for Arctic Tern and Fulmar. ➡️ bit.ly/seabirds-climate #Ornithology

New Study! Goosanders were tracked using GPS tags in two Scottish river catchments. 🌊 Results showed birds ranged over significantly longer river stretches in the Forth than birds in the Tweed, with licensed shooting occurring in the latter. All birds showed greater movement during daylight hours. ☀️
