Yep, exactly, copy linework layer- gaussian blur- put it below and on like 30-50%.
sometimes i also copy the finished artwork, blur it and set the layer mode to one of the bright light ones, and then have the opacity at also like a 20% or something. this messes with the colours.

can I ask you how you did you achieve this... dreamy look? I see that the linework you posted below is with a textured brush, and the finished work is more blurred. is it the "copy the layer, blur it and put below the linework" method or something else?

So, to those people thinking they'll be getting the original 1977 version of Star Wars - if there's no handpainted blur over the wheels of the landspeeder, color-changing lightsabers, cardboard rebels, missing dialogue, and matt lines around spaceships, it's not authentic.
