#B:TAS
Honestly surprised I hadn't drawn Clip as Harley Quinn before today, kind of seems incredibly obvious in hindsight. #art #jester

Let's talk about maybe the best episode of B:TAS.
What happens when Batman's rogues gallery plays poker together? They tell stories about their greatest foe! @lanpitts.bsky.social joins us for this series of vignettes told by the Bat's villains (and Killer Croc, who just threw a rock at 'im.)

WHOA THIS IS SO GOOD!

I'm a big fan of light illustration on black backgrounds, it feels like something that hardly gets used since B:TAS and Beyond. Beautiful work hon!

Ok, ok, I’m sold on Bluesky.

Why, you ask?

@tytempleton.bsky.social followed me back. This comic book, Batman, B:TAS and Batman Adventures comics fan is fully nerding out HARD.

Watching old B:TAS episodes. "I Almost Got Him" remains one of my favorites, though I still think there should have been a bit at the end where he tells the assembled that Croc throwing a rock at him as the closest that any had ever got to getting him...

I'm inclined to agree, despite Gravity Falls being an excellent show and Talespin being my favorite in the 90's. My son has been watching Teen Titans GO! and that show is just... amazing, and reminds me a lot of how much B:TAS, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, and Freakazoid! were pushing the envelope.

Ooh, I forgot that wrinkle! B:TAS sure is a fun show

Ser på #B:TAS og jeg elsker hvordan Pingvinen tar seg tid til å kritisere interiørdesignen til de han bryter seg inn hos.

What are some of your B:TAS favorites?

You're not going to be able to outdo B:TAS by just copying B:TAS. Even Dini and Nolan realized that with Capes Crusader

Finished both Black Books & Castle Rock which did get graphic in season 2 thanks to Annie Wilkes, an unexpectedly sympathetic murderer.
I’ve got B:TAS but that’s a very gray toon 😄
Finished Spaced, which I watched by accident because I forgot what Black Books was called. Watching that now.
Also Castle Rock, which is unsettling but not graphic, and has interesting faces to look at 👍
Getting real tired of desaturated gray and blue scale imagery though. Need a new toon.

Wahhh B:TAS Ivy vibes! So good! You look amazing as Pamela.

Amazing! 🤩 Especially the B:TAS autographs!

I've been watching B:TAS for the first time. And I've gotta say, the level of brains on display when someone leaves Batman AND Catwoman tied up with a length of rope and feels assured that they're done for is... not great. A Batman with his utility belt, no less, and Catwoman with her gloves on.

I instantly pictured that as an issue of The Batman Adventures comic book.

"...oops?" "Listen, and listen good. You don't touch anything, say anything, or do anything unless I tell you! GOT IT?!" "...yes sir."

My response to that Shadow's face from Archie Comics and BatShadow, and based on a scene from a B:TAS episode, 'Harlequinade'. Thanks, @deebsio.bsky.social! 🥰

WAVES: THE ADVENTURES OF DURAG BAT-MAN
Ever since we saw Bruce Wayne in a durag on B:TAS, I've wanted to do this comic.

Bruce Waves is Durag Bat-Man, a comic that features comedy, drama, action, & 90s R&B.

Art by @lanedraws.bsky.social & Sam Owen, words by me.

I'm gonna guess because they'd have stronger control over the IP/copyright here in the US than anything being created fully in Japan. The only end run would've been contracting an anime studio as the animation studio, while still doing all the writing and boards in the US (a la B:TAS & others.)

I love Denny O’Neil’s Batman, Bob Haney’s Batman, Mike W. Barr’s Batman, Jim Starlin’s, Frank Miller’s, Alan Grant’s, Greg Rucka’s, Grant Morrison’s, Scott Snyder’s, Mark Waid’s. I’m excited for Mayt Fraction’s Batman. I love B:TAS, I Brave & Bold, I love Matsuda’s The Batman. They’re all good!

Daniel, I love your Batman opinions, and your discussion of long-form villain arcs in B:TAS brought fresh depth to my appreciation of my favorite

But Mask of the Phantasm is EASILY the best Batman, and as a queer person, I have to come out swinging for Camp Masterpiece Batman Forever in 2nd place
May 29, 2024 at 9:37 PM
I still need to see Mask of the Phantasm. And most of B:tAS.

Listen closely!
They used the B:TAS theme!

season 1 i think was great and i loved it. was truly B:TAS with a mech. season 2, which was produced by adult swim, was forced to reveal the mystery by producers even though it was never intended to revealed, and so the full season suffers because of that focus. WHEN HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE
