"If you don't use AI you'll fall behind because everyone will be using AI"

Actually, now the stuff I make gets to be "artisan" and I can charge a higher price.

The slow grind.

Using artisan makes it less unbearable.

For real though I had a friend like 15 years ago describe the word "artisan" as meaning "hand-crafted by white people" and ever since then, that has been the dictionary definition in my head.

hand-animated artisan video game jiggle is one of the greatest artistic achievements of this world
Whatever one's opinion of jiggle physics in video games, you've gotta be at least a little impressed at the developers who go full Gainax in traditional pixel art. Like, that isn't the mere product of pushing some sliders around – they WORKED for that bounce.

Exciting news!

I was accepted into a local craft/artisan market hosted at our zoo, for the 5th of December!

It'll be my first time vending in a non-convention space, so I'm not sure what to expect, but I'll be bringing my General Audience hits!

Plus I dont think it'll actually be too big a problem. For AAA games, maybe, but there will always be indies and AAs that will proudly make games without it.

Like, the artisan cheese market didn't disappear when cheez whiz was invented
"If you hate GenAI you're going to have to stop playing new games when they all start using it"

My brother in Christ, my backlog is literally thousands of games long. I have lifetimes worth of earlier titles to play, & I will gladly do that instead of boiling the oceans for a new CoD or whatever

The lead artisan has one of those giant skeletons and last year for Christmas he had twenty smaller skeletons putting up lights all ineptly around the giant skeleton. I laughed and said one of the skeletons should be trying to use a male-to-male connector and he said he had FOUR. 😱

So pray for my sump artisan using a dangerous bad connector to put his Christmas lights together, he is very kind and I do not want him to electrocute himself.

Buy local, artisan, small
Never been more important to buy from craftspeople, painters, potters, illustrators, makers, carpenters, bakers and the like. Seek them out, follow them, support them and buy their goods. Use them or lose them etc etc

Phil has made his own artisan baja blast pie
It is finished.

sweeter and mellower at the same time than Baja Blast, if this wasn't bright blue I could believe it was just a normal key lime pie. it's GOOD. the surface looks a little bit like the moon, but the texture is spot on

Posted it in my discord with a large population of Swedes.

I expect there will be very rational discussion about it, and that absolutely no one will try to continually one up it with their personal history of pizza crime while another desperately posts his own artisan pizza in an appeal to Italy.
