SINE compounds activate exportin 1 degradation through an allosteric mechanism - Nature Chemical Biology
Selinexor is a covalent inhibitor of the nuclear export receptor exportin 1 (XPO1). Wing, Fung and Kwanten et al. found that selinexor mediates XPO1 degradation through an allosteric molecule glue mec...

Then I remembered protein allostery (bsky.app/profile/kh0r...) and I was like there it is, conditionals in biology! Computation HAS to be the secret!

I think this is the kind of thing that gets everyone stuck on the metaphor. But biology moves and transforms matter conditionally, not symbols.

## Quantized Coherence Preservation in Microbial Electron Transport Chains via Adaptive Enzyme Allostery
**Abstract:** Microbial electron transport chains (METCs) are vital for energy production in anaerobic environments. While classical models predominantly describe them as sequential redox events, recent evidence suggests a crucial role for quantum coherence in facilitating efficient electron transfer, particularly under fluctuating environmental conditions. This research proposes a novel bio-inspired algorithmic framework, "Adaptive Resonance Dynamics" (ARD), that simulates and optimizes METC performance by dynamically modulating enzyme allostery to preserve quantum coherence across multiple redox centers.

The Bohr effect had nothing to do with Niels but was discovered by his physiologist father Christian. Taught now as the first example of allostery in protein action, it touched on deeper questions about the nature of living organisms. My lastest column for CW

## Dynamic Allosteric Network Reconstruction Using Multi-Modal Data Fusion and Reinforcement Learning for Targeted Drug Design
**Abstract:** Protein allostery, the regulation of protein function through conformational changes induced by distal binding events, presents a formidable challenge for drug design. Existing computational models often struggle to accurately capture the dynamic nature of allosteric networks. This research introduces a novel framework utilizing multi-modal data fusion (X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, molecular dynamics simulations, and fluorescence resonance energy transfer – FRET), integrated with reinforcement learning (RL), to reconstruct dynamic allosteric networks and predict drug efficacy.
