I remember the last leg down in May 2002, when all the talk was whether insurance companies would be forced sellers of equities. Was quite the start.

To whom? I would argue that for our wealthy founders, dodging taxes maintained primacy even over their ideals of liberty for all. The tyranny was sold as the threat to the common foot soldier but keeping their profits - human and otherwise - ultimately drove the planners.

But the article clearly says "the top three best-selling cars in the region last year—the Dacia Sendero, the Renault Clio, and the Volkswagen Golf—were all good old-fashioned hatchbacks". This seems to be a statement about Ford, not Yurop? Also, the BYD models I saw in DE were pretty reasonable…

Of course I didn’t know whether it would work, but it did. There were very early reports of denied votes shortly after 7am or so and the # was picked up pretty much immediately. Tweets became more angry as the day went on, understandably so! It was in the news like all day. That did serve a purpose.
