Finally, all else equal, a transferable mortgage -by extending term risk would be more expensive so it wouldn't even help with affordability.

So a Muslim talking about affordability is apparently too radical, but a woman who peddled in Nazi conspiracy theories and rampant bigotry is perfectly welcome?

This party isn't worth a damn thing.

My family is the worst-off it’s ever been, ever. Riddled with growing debt due to increasing un-affordability, I’m about to be homeless even though I maintain a professional career. Probably will lose job due to Trump cuts. Same with my Dad. And my mom. Value of family home in steep decline.

Economics: Market Analysts Missed Key Metric, “Affordability”

Market analysts were too focused on “talking points” instead of obvious indicators.

Trump now claims there’s no affordability problem. This isn’t a disagreement; it’s a blatant denial of a reality millions are facing. How does it feel to witness the POTUS deny your truth to fit his brand of politics?

Note the "affordability" call out. Mamdani has broken his brain.
Trump: "House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide."

Trump’s infantile response suggests someone got through to him that gaslighting US citizens about the Epstein files & affordability is incredibly dumb & misguided on his part.

Housing densification combined with better public transportation service and less car dependency could help address a big part of the housing affordability problems; but the national culture of “bigger is better”, NIMBYism & of building out for car drivers assures a continuation of the problem.

Interestingly, when we lived in upstate New York and shopped according to affordability and quality, we ended up buying the majority of these co-op brands without even knowing they were producers-owned
some other familiar grocery store names that are brands for producer-owned agricultural co-ops:

Blue Diamond
Bob's Red Mill
Land O'Lakes
Tillamook
Welch's
