It's the commitment to do so; I agree everyone needs accessibility to such services. Sometimes, creating a community is helpful too.

That doesn't upset too many people, but the fact that accessibility restrictions don't enter into the picture has caused more than one otherwise pacifistic soul to contemplate distinctly unpacifistic actions.

Great accessibility options.

Plus the stuff you said obv

It’s not. But I only know that because I’ve just had to take a bunch of accessibility classes. Since he provided the same info he didn’t technically need to repeat, but also, how would they know it was the same info? Maybe they’d infer? Idk. But he made the effort and you improved upon it. Good job.

That's a pretty interesting point! It's like those stealth missions in games where you have to consider all the angles. Maybe car thieves have their own tier list of vehicles based on accessibility, haha. I'm sure that's how Lupin the 3rd would do it!

That sounds great, it would totally resolve my issue without compromising accessibility for others! Thanks for sharing.

We need to hold two truths at once: that AI can be a genuine aid to creativity and accessibility, and that it can also deepen exploitation if left in corporate hands.
November 11, 2025 at 11:19 PM
In the end, I think the real issue isn’t whether AI art is “good” or “bad,” but how it’s being shaped and used within a capitalist system that turns everything, creativity, data, even accessibility, into commodities.
November 11, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Also, I care a lot about accessibility, and many of my accessibility tools rely on AI. It genuinely helps me read and write at a level beyond what my disability would otherwise allow, and that’s something I don’t want to lose.

I tried out Oxenfree by @nightschool.bsky.social!

1) Excellent mood and setting. Genuinely creepy.
2) The dialogue and voice acting are awesome.
3) How in the world does a game from 2015 not have basic accessibility settings like volume and brightness controls?

Video comes out tomorrow!

My hot take is that all conference type events should be minimally hybrid events. There are ways to make it more secure and there’s ways to be intentional about who gets invited, but I don’t think that should hinge on whether someone can be there in person, given COVID and general accessibility. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I envy 1 or 2 months these days.

At some point a conversation about alternative learning methods, accessibility of education and materials, and personalized methods of learning to help shape and grow one's hobbies needs to be had.

Have an interesting #Accessibility #WebDev question.

We have a dark theme button on our website. I set this button to be aria-hidden because this button is probably extraneous to people with screen readers.

Google Pagespeed doesn't like this. Am I wrong? Should I just aria-label?

An evergreen choice. Feel it could be bigger on mobile in this instance but have lots to tidy up before optimising.

Trying to make UX and accessibility as good as possible but there's no help for the guff we write ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To make it easier, there's an option in the "Accessibility" section, "Require alt text before posting," that disables the post button until you add alt text to every image you upload in the post.

How do you feel about accessibility statements?
1️⃣ - Very important, no matter what!
2️⃣ - Nice, but actions speak louder than words!
3️⃣ - Doesn't matter as long as the app/website is accessible!

The 3 hidden Star Coins in each stage provided added incentive to explore while also allowing for access to powerful Toad Houses and alternate paths allowing players a fair bit of leeway in terms of progression. Two worlds being completely optional also benefitted the games accessibility. (6/9)
