Why not first work on the "easy problem of consciousness" by restoring functional vision for the blind through non-visual sensory stimuli encoding visual input and next extending this to the "hard problem of consciousness" by additionally evoking "truly" visual sensations? #ASSC27 #qualia

Some academic researchers are trying to understand the brain mechanisms underlying (visual) mental imagery, but I know of no researchers actively trying to develop/train/guide/engineer/control (visual) mental imagery? 🤔🧠 #ASSC27 #neuroscience

Got really great news at the end of 2023 that our tutorial submission - Bridging spatiotemporal scales of conscious processing using The Human Neocortical Neurosolver - was included in the program at this year's ASSC27 in Tokyo! assc27.net
