Beef supply is struggling with cattle weight down as farmers bring to slaughter earlier because of costs/weather and total numbers also down. Retailers bidding up to secure supply. AHDB has some good cross sector commentary.

AHDB. An agricultural industry promotional body. Generally, a “good thing” I suppose. But this whole campaign gives strong “we’re scared of the rise veganism” vibes. Also misleading, milk is not a good source of vitamin B12

The #AHDB has launched the #RecommendedLists (RL) for Cereals and Oilseeds 2026/27 this month. With fewer varieties added than removed, it says the new RL is more focused. There are eight new winter wheat varieties.
