J'ai une RTX A4000 avec 16go de VRAM. Je crois que j'ai pas la place physique pour mettre pour mettre une carte abordable comme la rtx 3090 24go et la rtx a5000 est comment dire... très chère pour un hobbie.

Waaaaait. The SAA5230 is meant for a 16-bit wide bus and between 4KiB and 128KiB of display RAM... the A5000 has a 16-bit wide Podule bus (or 32 on the RISC PC).

큰 조카(중2)에게 ROSESELSA RZ-550과 파이널 A5000을 세트로 줬는데 오늘 아바저 생신이라 모인 김에 잘 쓰고 있나 물어보니 꼬다리를 둘쨰(연년생 중1)이 가져갔다고 해서 불용물자 상태인 샨링 UA4를 주겠다고 하니 조카 표정이 '왜 삼촌은 이런거 안 쓰는게 또 있다는거지???' 상태가 되어버림.
세상은 다 그런거란다...
RZ-550도 괜찮은 꼬다리지만 상태창이 없고 조절 버튼도 없어서 세밀한 볼륨 조절이 불가능하지만 UA4는 상태창도 있고 버튼도 있으니까

It lives! It took a new IDE connector and a 74HCT244 but the A5000 IDE interface works now, and thanks to scalping a SIMM, it has the maximum 4MB of RAM too. #retrocomputing

Welp, the A5000 repair is a bust. The battery damage covers most of the PCB. At least the ARM3 works so there's a chance I can use it to repair another board which is in better condition, but has had the ARM nicked to make an ARM3 upgrade.

I'm on a fixed income, so I bought a a5000 body used. I don't like not having a viewfinder so I will upgrade when I can. I just piddle around with it so hard to justify. I think olympus is as good as anything out there.

Conner CP30174E, 1993 vintage, from an Acorn A5000 with severe battery leakage. Chucked the PCB in an ultrasonic cleaner... put the drive back together... works perfectly.
They were cheap, they were slow, but they seem to be absolutely bulletproof.

Nice. My A5000 Alpha is in limbo due to battery rot. I think it might be fixable but still nice to see these being produced.

I'm currently using a 3-year-old Win11 Pro 3D Workstation, 128GB RAM, and a 24GB RTX A5000 GPU. It handles all but the most complex of my 3D scenes reasonably well. The trick is to keep the scenes as efficient as possible using instancing, proxies, and linking, to keep the viewport nice and slick.
