My attempt at focus stacking. Looks like photoshop made a few small mistakes. And I have a lot of micro dust that I’ll need to clean up if I fuss with this more.

An unusual (for me!) subject for #52frames_macro 💀

August in Oklahoma features noisy cicadas (shown here for this week’s 52 Frames photo challenge) and unbearable heat (not shown, but present). I have a confession - this cicada was already dead, and I posed it on the leaves! He was a cooperative subject. #52Frames_macro #photography #nikon #macro

Week 32/52: This week's prompt from the 52Frames weekly photo challenge: Macro.

A symphony of peach and gold hues from this dahlia. I don't have a macro lens so I set a goal to get as close as I could with my usual lens when taking pictures in my garden.

Even in #decay, #beauty lingers—#petals curling like whispers of a life once in #bloom.
A quiet study of time’s gentle hand, captured for this week’s #52frames_macro challenge. Potential submission 1.#52frames

A golden sun, frozen in bloom —
its petals draped with morning tears.
Each droplet a tiny lens,
each vein a quiet map of life.
🌻
This is my third attempt for this week’s #52frames_macro challenge — and my second using focus stacking.

Buddha Sun
Rising above with an open heart,
where stillness meets the light,
and the soul flowers.
BTS: Two photos stacked. Not true macro, but taken with my macro lens.

This week’s 52 frames challenge is to capture a macro or extreme close-up photo that reveals details we wouldn't ordinarily see. I took this picture of a gate at a local farm. #52Frames_macro

52Frames: Macro - Catching Rays. I don't have a macro lens, so I used macro filters. The filters got me closer to the subject, but not a lot, and sharpness was a challenge.

#3 - playing with floor tile.
#4 - focus stacking on Sony.

Still lots to learn.

Getting deep into an old computer to create a little cityscape for this week's #52Frames_macro. Wish I had time to do the extra challenge of focus stacking.

Week #32 of 52Frames: Macro!

A macro shot of a service medal, inviting contemplation of its meaning and the story behind it. 2013 is not a year but the registration number for the award.

Fading crimson, edges curled by time—
a whisper of beauty that refuses to vanish,
a heart that blooms with age.

Fifth potential for this week’s #52frames_macro challenge.

I can't decide which version of this #bonsai photo I like better. The stacked version where the whole branch is in focus, or the single exposure that brings out the 3D more. Thoughts? #photography #nature #shallowDepthofField #macro #52Frames_macro

#52Frames, Wk32: #Macro + the ExtraChallenge: #FocusStacking
I often focus stack with flowers but I used flowers last week. I considered birds, but close up work+focus stacking+wild birds seemed impossible-then I remembered the 3 birds at the fountain!
