Have you evaluated your banking relationships? Perhaps reviewed your 401k to see where it's been accumulating since last quarter?

I found some old 403B I had from a previous employer that needs moved and reinvested strategically.

Just looked at my 403b.

Lately, life feels like this curve—peaking, then hitting a plateau. My 403B included (haha). But downturns don’t last forever. At some point, the only way is up. Things will get better. They have to. Hopefully, in this lifetime.

Today's post-employment decision is whether to roll my 403B into an IRA or leave it where it is.

Just increased my HSA contribution by $20/month and 403b by $50/month.

I won’t feel the difference (403b change starts 6/6 and they don’t take it out of summer checks) but it’s a positive change. Took less than 10 min to locate and fill out the forms!

I would like to clarify a point. Congress could still have investments. We aren't asking them to sabotage their retirement. They would buy mutual funds (managed groups of stocks) like 99% of the options most people get with a 401k/403b/457 retirement plan. They wouldn't be able to buy individual

Ha! I'm the one who managed the money in our household. My husband just deposited his check. Now he's retired . I've paid off the house, have plenty of savings, invested my 403b successfully,without a financial advisor. Made most of our major decisions, car, etc. he's lucky to have me and says so.
