#2CUDS
Think you know Limited?

It's time for the Avatar: The Last Airbender #𝐏𝟎𝐏𝟏 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞!

Pick 8 cards (1 common of each color, 2 of any other common, and 1 #2CUDS), with the goal of maximizing their collective GIH Win Rate on @17lands.bsky.social.

Proposal: The GU SETMECHANICUBE! 🧊
A 180 card, two-color cube centered on all of the extremely narrow GU #2CUDS we've seen over the years.

The challenge is to find ~some~ synergy across all of these little niches, and... honestly, I think it can be done!

I think my favorite finding is that, when you model how much better cards (in Limited) get when put in increasingly synergistic decks, the gold signposts (#2CUDS) consistently stand out.

This is very pleasing to me.

Far-too-early standings in the Foundations #P0P1 Challenge!

Dreadwing Scavenger is a real outlier at the #2CUDS position, but success so far is mostly based on a broad stable of solid picks.

#9 is BR in VOW, with 17.8% of wins. Note that the way I'm binning all decks into their closest color pair, the average archetype will have ≈10% of wins.

Similar to BLB BG, the #2CUDS was very strong, and you wanted to be making Artifact tokens (blood) and drafting Vampires.

Tatyova was one of the stronger #2CUDS in DOM, at 59%, but is down to 53% in FDN. I don't really have a great theory on this one -- is it just color pair strength bringing it down?

As I secretly suspected, we're getting a double cycle of #2CUDS! Probably one is Vehicles/Mounts, one is more conventionally creatures.

Also, who knew that Nicolas Cage won an Invitational?

do not get me started on trying to put in 2cuds when sets from that era didn't have any.

I have been fortunate that the UB properties I find most cringe have thus far been relegated to Commander products and Secret Lairs, where I can just ignore them.

This #2CUDS, with the faux-Latinate name and trite FT, really has me grappling with some uncomfortable questions.

This rhino leads me to speculate that we will only have 10 #2CUDS in TDM. I'd guess this is part of a five-card three-color cycle, and that eats into your multicolor as-fan.

But I don't know whether to expect doubled-up ally pair #2CUDS, like in SNC, or just the regular set of all 10.

#2CUDS
This one I'm not too sure about. It's extremely not-obvious what it stands for (two-color uncommon draft signpost), it's not easy to pronounce, and it constrains me to only considering the *two* color...

Among #2CUDS there aren't a lot of things that "double", so I find this classic really enjoyable.

📯I am pleased to announce the winner of the Final Fantasy #P0P1 Challenge:

🎇Oophies🎆

Nailing the best #2CUDS, hitting on White Auracite, and picking most of the strongest commons in each color did the trick!

What do you have as the canonical #2CUDS in each color pair? Here's my first draft.

Blink, loot/reanimate, sacrifice, get stuff on-board... (I am least satisfied with the UB offering here; am I missing something obvious and better?)

I would enjoy this. All the people really want is #2CUDS and synergistic decks

...cards than vanilla sealed.

Works particularly well for my Companion Cube, in which decks are built around a #2CUDS. Synergy is really important there.

In response to the latest LPR episode: In my opinion, there is a second big leaver to avoid 5c-goodstuff to be dominant

2 color seeded synergies! Finding the balance between the overlap between them and power of fixing allows experienced players to experiment, and helps newer drafters with #2CUDS

My Cube (mtgds.wordpress.com/2023/01/16/c...) is tricky for removal -- the Main Idea is that the #2CUDS are the stars, so I want to let them breathe. Thus, I don't necessarily want to run the most comprehensive and/or efficient removal. Cryoshatter gives some leeway.
