Back when it was sort of a weird British take on D&D fantasy like B/X read through Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! with some 2000AD slathered all over it to turn it into 40k, it had the juice.

I absolutely LOVED 2000AD!
Prep for @manmademoon.bsky.social’s ROGUE TROOPER film with… ⬇️⬇️
Who is ROGUE TROOPER?

Created by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons, he is the Genetic Infantryman! Get the lowdown on all things Rogue here: https://bit.ly/47laMqT

Adoro essas boconas expressivas dos robôs do Geoff Senior, uma consequência engraçada de um artista que refinou o estilo em 2000AD e depois teve que se adaptar pra fazer gibi (literalmente) de boneco.

Dynamic compositions, just awesome.

The quality of those early 2000ad art droids, we were spoiled rotten really

It's also interesting how much of a change Phase 4 is from the other ones. In typical Morrison fashion, you see the seeds being planted from Phase 1, though you can see how they would improvise for however many Phases 2000AD would let them write

I've got 46 Graphic Novels in total, ranging from the big DC and Marvel, to the little brothers like IDW and IMAGE, to the British Standard of 2000AD and The77, to the Indie Scene

That number is likely going to be 50 to 55ish considering I need to go to two places (Niche and CE) before next week
One of the things I am working on at the minute is The Latham Project, as I've been in contact with Letchworth Libraries to give them some graphic novels

And by some graphic novels, I mean a good 20 to 30 odd (Pic below is of one of the stacks of graphic novels I'm giving away)

@nndroid.bsky.social

Got your own block, have you? 😁

I just started the 2026 2000ad Annual and saw this.
Love the podcasts 👍

I met Alan Moore at a 2000AD signing when I was about 12. My mum started asking him about education, obviously expecting him to be very much in favour of it, being a writer. Instead, he said amicably “well, I left school by mutual agreement when I was 15”. She was appalled, I was highly impressed 😆

From October's Top Of My Pile:

@mikerapin.com picked Big Ass Sword by Andreas Butzbach:

"2000AD / Rebellion is publishing this and with a title like "Big Ass Sword"... I gotta see what this is about, right?? "

One of my favourite Stainless Steel Rat memories is Harry Harrison sending a letter to 2000ad pointing out an error. He got £3 from Tharg for his troubles.

Prog 393

Little reference to POTUS Reagan which tells us we are still placed firmly in the 1980s.
If this issue came out today, the top banner would read, "Move over, Don - Slippery Jim di Griz is back!" And then 2000ad would get litigated.

What strips did you do for 2000ad?
November 18, 2025 at 10:25 AM
Our @philipreadart.bsky.social only went and won the Thought Bubble 2000AD competition! No higher honour than getting to illustrate a Future Shock for Tharg. PHIIIIIIL
And congratulations to Philip Read, the winner of the 2000 AD Artist Talent Search competition at @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social – he'll draw Lilith's Future Shock in a future issue of 2000 AD!

Yeah, my nan bought me that issue, I'd previously only explored Transformers, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Batman, Superman and Spiderman. The basics. 2000AD was a whole new world of violence.

I started in this industry working as the great Sir Don Lawrence’s assistant before going to work at 2000ad, which often required painted work, so colouring has always been something I love doing. :-)

Worms!! Judge Dredd has definitely had about enough of them, and so has Mega-City One. But worms are what he has to deal with in this week’s 2000AD…

2AM is definitely the best time I could choose to share this rad video by @stoked.bsky.social all about Rogue Trooper. Give it a watch, especially if you've ever wanted to understand why 2000AD is a comic we won't shut up about in the UK. Rogue Trooper is a big part of why. youtu.be/qq0yLbBo00M?...

As someone who is a massive Johnny Alpha fan (hint to anyone pitching at 2000AD) these were real rare to find when they were available

2000AD and Megazine came in the post today, but I’m still missing last months Meg so need to chase that up

That Judge Joyce pic is PERFECT. Takes me right back to my first 2000AD issue
November 17, 2025 at 10:22 PM
That rocks. I wish they’d let more Star Wars stuff be kinda weird looking. That’s why I like Star Wars vision. There’s a Boba Fett series by 2000ad guys that is cool for similar reasons.

Equally UK Comics like Eagle, Warlord, 2000AD were nothing like American Comics and certainly nothing like Manga. Though I think Deadline did a great job in muddying some of that water in the late 90s. but yes yes bloody yes .. Manga is truly is own thing.
