#사이언스 DNA 이중나선구조를 밝히고 1962년 노벨의학상을 받은 James Watson, 97세로 타계했다. 15살에 시카고대학에 입학해 22살에 인디애나대학에서 바이러스 연구로 Ph.D를 마치고 영국 캠브리지대학으로 박사후연구 과정을 시작해 같은 실험실에서 만난 Crick 교수와 함께 두 젊은 과학자들이 당시 DNA 구조 연구성과를 놓고 경쟁하던 선배들을 물리치고 놀라운 발견에 성공했다. 늙어서는 흑인비하, 성희롱 사건으로 명성에 타격을 입으며 본인이 세우고 키웠던 연구소에서 쫓겨났다.
