Lindsey Vonn remains in hospital after two surgeries

Lindsey Vonn spent Monday on her second day in Treviso Hospital after the serious fall she suffered in the downhill at the Milan Olympics. The American skier has undergone two operations to stabilize the fracture in her left femur and is still in intensive care. The two surgeries were performed by a team of orthopedic and plastic surgeons from Ca'Foncello Hospital and supervised by Vonn's personal doctor. Vonn had gone to compete with a torn ACL in her left knee after a fall in the last World Cup before the Games, at the Swiss resort Crans-Montana. Despite the injury, the American skier chose to proceed with her Olympic participation.
