Meteorological agencies warned of heavy snow, ice and severe cold across parts of the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway and Greece ahead of New Year’s Day, prompting travel disruptions.

It's super easy to trace the Mohawk and Upper Hudson Valleys in terms of electric outages, via National Grid. FRAM flat ice estimates from @nysmesonet.org data show peak totals of about 2/3". Thankfully the freezing rain should stop soon in NY. Outages out west are due to 60+ mph gusts. #nywx
