Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet U.S. President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Monday to press his hawkish Gaza stance and test differences over Iran and Syria.
Hebrew press reports that Netanyahu begged his cabinet to allow for the opening of Rafah crossing "in both directions" (so as to allow aid and Palestinian refugees back into Gaza) due to US pressure, but that his coalition members forced him to back down.

As Netanyahu comes to DC to sell another war, the question is whether Trump will cave once more to Israel.
His base opposes war, while some key donors favor it. But donors can't win the midterms. Turnout will be key, and to get folks out to vote will require that Trump isn't too far from his base.

In Lebanon & Gaza, Israel resisted a ceasefire for months. With Iran, Israel requested a ceasefire after 9 days due to the pain Iran's missiles inflicted.
