This is called tolerance, and it FORCES the ICE AGENT into a cycle of chasing diminishing rewards.

THEY ARE GOING TO GET WAY MORE VIOLENT.

After repeated acts of violence the ICE AGENTS brain reduces its natural dopamine response, so everyday pleasures (food, music, socializing) feel flat or meaningless.

The ICE AGENT then uses more VIOLENCE just to feel normal.

Even though the AGENT knows it’s harmful, their brain learns that the violent behavior reliably produces a certain feeling of safety for themselves.

Each act of violence strengthens a cue that triggers craving that triggers more violence that completes the reward loop:

Over time, this relief becomes the main “reward” — not euphoria, but temporary absence of pain and self loathing

ICE AGENT VIOLENCE gives a sense of control or predictable emotional state in their otherwise impotent and chaotic life.

For ICE AGENT the brain starts to associate the VIOLENT behavior with survival-level importance, similar to food, sex, or safety

The violent behavior numbs emotional or physical discomfort, giving short-term relief.
