What? ICE didn't raid it and disappear these people back to their own countries? I thought ICE liked to hang out where immigrants were trying to follow the law, like courthouses, and disappear them. Easy pickings rounding up immigrants trying to be law abiding.

That might be what it'll take: a mass exodus of young, disenfranchised Americans to other prosperous, saner countries. My first choice might be Australia, but the UK might work as well.

Unfortunately, for every larcenous scheme of Trump's that is stopped by a judge, I suspect that four other larcenous schemes went undetected or unchallenged. I guess we have to appreciate every victory while simultaneously challenging every new atrocity.

I used to think activism was as important to a Democracy as voting. But now that it's seemingly our last option, it seems inadequate at best. But since it is our only option, I say let's go for it!

I really hope Trump isn't planning to use this situation to go to war against Canada. it's inconceivable, but then the last 4 months was inconceivable to me just 5 months ago.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I wonder what happens to the existing vehicles. I say go after prospective Tesla buyers and leave existing Tesla owners alone to ponder their folly.

DOGE has no official authority whatsoever. It seems their "authority" is entirely due to intimidation and bluff, and most importantly, the willingness of some people who DO have authority to ignore administrative and legal rules and regulations, and go along with the scam.
