I don't know who needs to hear this but CONVERSATIONS WITH IDRAS is $9.70 at Amazod. This funny hardcover features the words bruv and fam more times than you've ever encountered in a single book: LESS THAN 10 BUCKS! Normally $25.

Silliness awaits!

"Some books are just so full of wonderful moments--like every page! I'm reading @zzclaybourne's BREATH, WARMTH, AND DREAM, and I am ~raking in~ the quotations...

"'She said lost feathers are blessed by all gods...'"

Thank you, @asakiyume.bsky.social for sharing this light this morning!

Just finished the 2nd of the books in the Tales of the Polity series (the 1st: The Inconvenient God). So many glowing adjectives to describe it. Gonna land on revelatory. So much light illumning such a choked world. A tale about actual gods, Big Brother, and the people swallowed between. Loved it.

Minister Faust has the coolest pen name ever. Every book from him is a supernova. ALCHEMISTS OF KUSH walks 2 simultaneous worlds: modern Edmonton & ancient Egypt, with both worlds generating the epic energy of heroes, gods, & inner demons living among us so well the book feels mythical af.

Indie books that've rocked my world.

When disparate flavors work, they *work*. Instead of sailing to Valinor, Tolkien's elves headed to Detroit. "Generations later," says author @mwl.io, "orcs followed."

A prohibition story on one hand. An immigrant song on the other. Tasty as hell reimagining.

Indie books that've rocked my world.

What is best in life: redeem the Star Wars prequel trilogy; elevate Black Panther to Jedi level; give Vader a tragic backstory and KEEP IT TRAGIC DON'T LET HIM BECOME SPARKLE FAIRY WTFH.

Minister Faust = achieved.

Indie books that have rocked my world:

In the opening scene I got solid Americana, witchcraft, a jail brawl, an epic vendetta, a little terror and some surprising laughs. SOLD. Templeton doesn't write, she skates, seamlessly going from mood to macabre mood.

Radiator's popping. Your toes huddle under a comfy throw. You've added hard liquor to your cocoa. You've added a little more. Now it's time to shut out the world.

As far as beloved holiday classics go, only 1 book contains taquitos as a driving force. In your face, Dickens.

Wherever ebooks r sold.
