Madame VP Kamala Harris called me yesterday to congratulate me on winning my election. I asked to record to end of our call for my Nana because she knocked many doors for her campaign last year.

Surreal.

WE did it! And to the hundreds of people who are attempting to break my soul with your hateful comments on our local newspaper’s social media, you’re too late.

The work continues! 💚

Thank you, Charlottesville.

With over 80 volunteers since March, including 27 on Election Day, and 153 donations, I truly believe we built a people-powered campaign.

A thousand thank-yous would be insufficient, but I’ll keep saying it because I couldn’t have done it without you all.

TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY!

I’ve been downtown talking to voters for a few hours every day of early voting since September 19th!

Over 600 people voted early in-person today in Charlottesville, and @indivisiblecville.bsky.social had a great turn out!

Tuesday is the day. Show up & do your part!

We are officially ONE WEEK out from Election Day!

My uncles helped integrate Charlottesville’s schools in 1959, so I see it as a privilege and responsibility to protect our greatest community assets — our public schools!

I am at the Charlottesville City School Board work session.

“Black Students are 4.5x more likely to be suspended than their white counterparts.” (according to the k-12 data from the 23-24 & 24-25 school years)

Black students make up 25.4% of the student population (According to Dr. Gurley)

From the very beginning, I’ve said that the solutions to the challenges facing our schools must be intergenerational. We all bring something to the table, & when we all work together, we can create lasting change.

16 days! Vote early or on November 4th for a brighter future! zyahnabryantforccs.com

Investing in families holistically is one way that we can work to close the achievement gap. UVA has many resources that they currently offer to CCS. By expanding those resources & deepening those school-community connections, we can see lasting positive change.

There are just 3 weeks until Election Day!

As the youngest candidate in this race, I bring a fresh perspective that’s deeply connected to the student experience. My commitment to bettering our community is not new. I have always cared about public education & I always will.

Only a few Saturdays remaining until election Day! Yesterday was a beautiful one, so I couldn’t miss the opportunity to be out. I am committed to showing up because we can’t wait, public education is under attack & it will take all of us doing our part to save our schools. 😊💚

Congratulations to Charlottesville Tomorrow on their 20th anniversary! I had a wonderful time at today’s Next 20 event. Having diverse, culturally relevant local news media is necessary, especially in our current moment. I look forward to seeing what the future will bring!

A really kind voter posted this to her instagram story today. Showing up each day has been eye opening for me. I’ve had some great conversations out there with folks who are voting early. 💚 Make sure you have a plan to vote!! There is so much at stake.

Running for office isn’t about having all of the answers, it’s about being willing to come to the table with the intent to listen and engage. I appreciate having the opportunity to do just that at today’s Listening Tables event hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Charlottesville Area. 💚

As the only Gen Z candidate on our local ballot, I’m disheartened by the continued vandalism of my campaign signs. Nevertheless, we persist. My heart remains grateful for the outpouring of support I’ve received thus far. That carries me through each day.

Thank you. 💚

I care deeply about public ed. Always have, always will. During my time in CCS, I served as a Student SB Rep. As a 1st year at UVA, I was appointed by VA Gov. Northam as a member of the first VA African American Advisory Board, where I co-chaired the education subcommittee.

I posted this message yesterday on my campaign socials as I’ve received several reports of stolen/damaged signs. Then last night another one was stolen and this video was sent to me. It’s quite upsetting.

Nevertheless, we persist.

I’ve recently heard from friends & community members that some of my campaign yard signs have been stolen or damaged. While it’s disappointing, I’m grateful that signs can be replaced; our movement cannot be erased that easily.

I missed a softball game in 8th grade to stand up for public education.
I believed in our schools then, and I still do.

My name is Zyahna Bryant, I’m 24 and I’m running for the Charlottesville School Board. I hope to have your vote in November.
