Queer furry ultrarunner and skiier.

Mostly a placeholder account for now.
At my parent's place and unearthed my retirement account.

(actually got sad at how many other holofoils I used to have that got stolen).

Went to see Ne Obliviscaris tonight, great show and I'm psyched I got the opportunity to see them again after last year. Every time I do a concert I always tell myself I should go to more!

I am begging more metal bands to incorporate the glory of the saxophone solo into their music.

One of my more basic traits is that I like the rotating nature landscape lockscreens on Windows and have even looked up picture locations to consider trips. This one made me question my own recollection of Kyoto and yeah I definitely was right about Fuji definitely not actually being that close.

Got a power washer and it's as fun as advertised.

The real shocker: I placed 7th overall out of 88! Given I've been toward the back of the pack in my two 100Ks so far top 10 feels unreal! Great note to end the season on and I'm already excited for next year! #ultramarathon #ultrarunning

I employed a different strategy in this race and started a 1 mile run/2 minute walk interval early into the race and it paid off big time! I usually get too fatigued to run by about mile 40 in these races and hike the rest, but this pacing let me run consistently all the way to the end!

Race report: Delaware Trail Fest 12 Hour Lone Wolf division

This was a fixed-time race where you run as many 7-mile loops around a lake as possible in under 12 hours. Weather was perfect! The drought out here kinda muted the fall colors some but there were still some great views!

Yo I kinda ripped?

Full race report tomorrow but know that I was getting emotional over how much better than expectation this went, I executed the best I ever have for a race and this was incredibly validating.

Time to run all damn day #ultrarunning #ultramarathon

It was 58 hours, the 1d 9h "last update" on the tracker leaderboard is just the live tracker being goofy.

Not that 58 hours isn't insane when you consider this was the gap he had on the field not even halfway in (yes 138 down there is him and yes that was actually how insane it was)

It appears I'm being spammed by a 19th century English baron?

After three years I finally got to ride Top Thrill (any iteration)

Oh yeah, spooky season, time to bring out the horror icon again (kinda body horror)

Deafheaven show. Dude was only like two lines into the first song and all the paint is already melted off the walls.

At the beach. Absolute trash experience for trash people.

Will probably do again 3.5/5 stars.

I finished this race 3 hours slower than my first 100K last year but I believe that this was absolutely a better performance and that I finished this race stronger than the last! The climbs were brutal and as an east-coaster this was a unique challenge but I did it!

The back half: PAIN. Had multiple independent sources tell me that the climbs up Mt. Townsend and Mt. Zion were known to be the steepest, most painful climbs in the region. Sadly when I got to the top of Townsend it was cloudy and the views were obscructed; apparently on a clear day it's penominal!

#UltraSky Race report: Olympic Mountains 100K

The tale of two halves: the first 50K of the race was very runnable, flowed great, mostly an out-and-back and a lollipop. Lush, mossy, fern-dense PNW forest along mount streams, with a brief peek onto the 3-o'clock ridge overlooking Buckhorn Wilderness

Found a tree with a huge dong.

Survived 100K #2! This was on a whole different level than the one I ran last year, proper mountain races are insane (see: 2.5 vertical miles during the race)

Shakeout run before the big race tomorrow, the vibes were excellent 👌
