This all could just be my perspective though only dealing with smaller groups over longer periods of time....but still it's kind of infuriating to not help your players be more comfortable to enjoy the game more.

Bringing those fears or rough subjects up in game and be a very clear indicator when things might be going too far. Hell I'd bet you actually could go much further into subjects like that once your group is accustomed to the tools as there is always a safety net to stop.

I've been playing with my group for over a year and only recently have we started hunting at each other's fears in game. Those tools would only help people feel more comfortable
