I just want to make things and enjoy the world.

I am human made and so is the stuff I make.
Oh. Yea that sounds like something that can get people going.

Yea why is "Star Wars Rankings" on Trending right now? Is there some new movie/game/book or something triggering it or did people just start talking on their own?
November 25, 2025 at 3:51 PM
To be fair, people stories are the really scary ones.

When they are willing to live in a salt jar the housing situation must be baaad.

Yea they never use the space of those things effectively do they! If it was only from games or movies you'd think cassette tapes had less storage than a vinyl record.

All four of them are neat but the upper right one is gorgeous!

I like how that technology looks so ancient and archaic at this point. Looks like you've picked up one of many voice recordings from missing people in a maze or something.

All those three suggestions sound like they'd be ordinary words in specific contexts.

I do think, however, that there should be laws about making voting as easy and accessible as possible, in some way. And making it easy and transparent what parties and politicians has done before. And to educate young people about it. All that's much more tricky to put into laws though...
November 22, 2025 at 4:38 PM
No. Being forced to vote if you don't care (and don't want to care) isn't going to be a good incentive to educate yourself and trying to pick the best choice. A lot of people would probably just pick whatever was going to upset the most people, and boost anti-democratic choices.

Like... The clay has to be wet to be shaped without just cracking, but then dry enough to not crack when heated up... Imagine going from damp to like 1200 degrees in less than 5mins. o_O
November 20, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Yea, drying has to be outside of those 5min. I count drying as being in the same category as firing in that it's something the materials are doing on their own.

Getting the whole process down to 5min would probably be physically impossible even if we had realistic sci-fi technology.

I'm trying to estimate how long things would take me and it feels like planning some sort of speedrun. The more I think about it though the less confident I am that I'd manage to make a mug-shaped thing and dip it in glaze within that time. 5 minutes are not very many minutes.
November 20, 2025 at 5:50 PM
I've only thrown two things in my entire life so even centering the clay would take me faaaaar longer than 5mins.

If I'd manage to make a mug in under 5mins it would look like something a young child had made - but without the charm that comes with something being made by a young child.
November 20, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Ah... yes, it being both dark, cold, slippery and wet is probably not the bestest of times to spend with a dog. I wonder if dogs are negatively affected by the dark, too...
November 20, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Depending on where in Sweden at least there's snow now. I think. If it hasn't melted away again since last time I checked.
November 20, 2025 at 5:00 PM
... and then let it dry no matter if it was stable or not... Then I'd probably have enough time to dip it in glaze and wipe off the underside so it doesn't stick to the kiln.

I mean... maybe it'd be mug-shaped enough for people to at least see it's a mug? It's easy to overestimate 5mins though.

The winter darkness didn't use to have much of an effect on me but it had last year. So I guess that's part of it now, too. Well, one more month and then it'll slowly get brighter again. And before I know it it'll be spring. Then summer. Then autumn. Then winter again. Ah well...

It's not rock bottom, or even close to that rocky bottom, but I really do have to think of a good strategy to work around this.
It's strange how the body and mind can feel like a robot suit you have to steer and sometimes it's just slow and hard to maneuver. I want to take it off so I can breathe.
