reading this reminded me of my brief "atheists are so the coolest people" period in highschool and looking at richard dawkins/sam harris stuff. so glad it never really got past the point of mild interest when i see any of what these people are up to nowadays

it was hell to find bc i guess nobody owns physical media now so all the good options from the big players (ikea, habitat who don't even exist anymore at all) are far gone now, so they aren't amazing but they're better than nothing

i've switched to bookshelves from this company/distributor/importer(?) called tectake who have this simple one labeled for dvds, the spacing between rows is kinda wonky but i'm using one for the cd collection and another for the games collection that i both got 2nd hand and they work well

lately been using this powerbook g4 on which i've installed an ssd and os9 to replay riven. it's strangely meditative to put cds in a drive to access parts of a game, and not having access to the internet on a computer. you are compelled to try things instead of going on sns to numb your brain

oh huh interesting, curious how that works in reality… i didn't hear any stereo weirdness so i'm assuming it didn't activate for me.

surprised at the dolby atmos badge on applemusic — is that some kind of after-the-fact added processing or did you mix this in atmos? just curious
