The same - sometimes the crows get irritable when waiting for food and a fight breaks out but it's usually over in seconds.

Magpies on the other hand can be quite nasty when they fight each other. From my balcony, I once witnessed what can only be described as a gang fight 😅

Some of these guys have no shame

😅 Living in Switzerland, it's been a while since I've seen it too but seeing jackdaws remind me of my grandad's hair

It's great when they follow you. In the beginning, they used to circle around my head and reminded me very much of vultures. They were just waiting for me to drop peanuts though 😅

Cool photo. I love watching crows picking up peanuts 😊

That's an awesome photo

Such a great photo and a unique hair style. They usually look like old men that use Brylcreem

Sadly, very true 😢

Crows don't usually kill but I know that when they do, it's because they need the food. It really is the circle of life. I love crows but sometimes they still surprise me

I would never hurt a crow but of course, there are plenty of idiots who would
November 9, 2025 at 3:28 PM
Hard to say but crows do love fighting (or seem to)

Thanks Rob

I've only seen photos of crows with broken beak but I have seen one with a deformed beak. I never saw them again sadly but that doesn't mean to say anything bad happened to them

Crows in lipstick. Now there's an idea 😅
November 9, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Oh no. One day, saw a crow with something hanging out it's mouth and using the camera's zoom lens, I saw it was the leg of a duckling 🤐

I have no idea what that red stuff is 😆

I once found a very rancid packet of hazelnuts in the cupboard. They were vile but when I fed them to the crows, they were popping them like M&Ms 😅

If the peanuts have been roasted in their shells, they're delicious without salt. Crows eat most types of nuts and are especially partial to cashews. Salted foods are generally unhealthy but they would eat them as they eat literally everything. Sadly, I've even seen them eating vomit 🤢

Me in a supermarket this afternoon buying cashew nuts (they didn't have peanuts). The crow is on a sign carefully watching me to make sure I don't run away. It's the corvid equivilent of having your lunch money stolen.
Zoom in on the photo of the self-check out terminal, you can see the crow waiting

They must have gotten inspired at a drive in cinema 😅

😅 I'm fine. It's everyone else I'm worried for
