Also Kamala did pick up some right wing messaging on immigration, I just I think she picked the wrong lies to copy. Trying to show off dick Cheney's endorsement, for example, I found disgusting. I voted blue because fascism is worse, but I never liked her platform, or got to really know/like her.

Writing off the inflation as rents and door dash is exactly one of many reasons Dems lost. Instead of promising change in their messaging they tried to do the same losing thing they always do and say "nuh-huh" to Trump's lies. This is a failing strategy. You can't beat a populist with fact checking

Her team and Kamala herself had internal polling that showed they were going to lose the entire time. I think this loss comes from many things(social media dominated by right wingers, Palestine, sexism, racism, etc), but I genuinely believe populist messaging could have helped her overcome it.

Maybe they shouldn't pretend this excellent economy is excellent for everybody. That would be a great starting point. In general "more of this" after an unpopular administration is not good messaging. Dems lost twice now to populist messaging, and if there's another election I hope they've learned.

Populist messaging works, and doesn't rely on graphs or numbers. It relies on feelings, and getting the heart of the people. Trump has exclusively relied on it, and Obama also used it to great success in his first run.

He was up until a couple months before the actual election, which was also an awful mistake. He never should have ran, a proper primary would have at least given his successor a fighting chance
