And the most of Darumi's insane namedrops happened in the common route too... In retrospect it's funny how when screenshots were coming out everywhere people were claiming those were definitely put there by Uchikoshi.

I wouldn't discount Kodaka from Darumi and Eito since he co-wrote on those, although we don't really know to what extent.

Ishii is a woman right? It's kind of funny how Kodaka said "the woman in the writing team" and then we know everyone else is known to be a man.

Kodaka is barely involved (they basically admitted he's only slapped there for recognition), it's a bona-fide Uchikoshi/Nakazawa game. The problem is that it's a straightforward game meant for children unironically and never really goes beyond that. Marketing did say it was "for children" though...

Unfortunately Kodaka isn't an auteur at all, he always let his coworkers do whatever. Komatsuzaki has a lot of freedom on designs and even characters, and he never managed the writing of FTEs in DR.

It was Uchikoshi's job as "route director" to bring things together and he just... didn't.

I did S.F. as my last and I can tell you that most routes aren't nearly this bad. I'm shocked that this route has such a good reputation when it's abysmal in every regard. I can recommend some other good routes if you're interested. People often overlook Casual Route but it has great Eito content.

I think the worst part is that Uchikoshi is seemingly completely unaware that draining hemoanima turns the corpse into a mummy.

Kodaka credits Togawa for saving the combat system. They picked SRPG from the start but planning wasn't going well and they were ready to give up on it completely until Togawa joined the company and reimagined it from scratch.

I wouldn't include Monark because it just took Lost Dimension's combat and broke it for no reason.

I guess we can say Shigenori Soejima has no style because he doesn't draw the spritework for games and delegates it to assistants. Or simpler -- anyone that ever did a character design for any anime doesn't own that style anymore, because animators used it.

Shimadoriru's style looks nothing like Komatsuzaki's. Him being on CG duty in UDG and V3 -- and never outside it -- doesn't mean it suddenly stopped being Komatsuzaki's style. It's incredibly common for artist to have assistants and it doesn't suddenly stop being their style.

Everything Japanese has JoJo references every five lines, most of the time localization removes those. Danganronpa had countless JoJo references removed by NISA.

It's funny seeing people act like "oh I know this line is definitely written by Uchikoshi" and they're in Kodaka route.

Really? She feels mostly pretty much the same character as Halara from Rain Code.

We even learned in extremely rare dev blog by Komatsuzaki that the whole reason why TooKyo Games was founded is because Komatsuzaki was burned out in Spike Chunsoft and was going to completely quit the game industry until Kodaka learned about it and proposed to create a new company together.

I think it's rather disgusting that people keep loudly proclaiming how he should've been dropped to make it less Danganronpa because something-something Uchikoshi didn't work with him. Acting like Komatsuzaki isn't an equal member of the team.

Yeah, he doesn't, but one of ex-Screenwave guys actively collaborated with Craig on this, and is also the publisher of the new AVGN game that was announced recently. I don't know any of Screenwave/Screw Attack guys but it seems like a work obligation to me.

"He doesn't play games" as in he doesn't actively play any modern games as a hobby. He talked about retro games that he used to play. And sometimes plays newer games for work but is obviously having a hard time whenever doing so.

The host is his former boss from what I see. AVGN himself doesn't play games at all if you watched any of his livestreams, he stopped playing games before he even became AVGN.
