Sometimes I do use my hands, even for pizza. It just depends on how I'm feeling. I hate wide slices of pizza though that touch my face I will fucking scream.

And yes, I have eaten potato chips with a fork before too (you just have to learn additional fork techniques such as putting the chip between the tines and twisting the fork slightly to hold it). Though chopsticks are better suited (I use chopsticks for popcorn too).
