Wilds had a massive launch! If pre-launch marketing was much better than previous titles I'd expect fewer sales right after preorders. Many of those customers who would have found out about a new MH title post-launch already heard about Wilds because of the broader pre-launch campaign.

Haha honestly I stopped digging after the initial check into his claims, but my guess is they just outsource video production to the lowest bidding content creator or something. Taking that and trying to spin it into being an industry icon ready to mentor me is exactly in line with the rest lol

Break the cycle: Don't get caught up in what feels like everyone thinking something when it's just a few thousand loud online people. Accept that other people exist and have other preferences.

They preserve a self image of absolute knowledge by concluding that everyone else is either an idiot or shares their opinions. A new product releases, the cycle repeats, and they lament how everyone else could be so dumb as to enjoy an objectively bad thing.
