The counter-argument would be that unless (1) is expressly revoked, it trumps (6), and that moreover (7) is merely pointing that out.

The expectation would (should?) be that as an ex-President, he knew that a SCIF needs security.

It is my considered opinion that while creating the world, the Lord took a leftover pot, then dumped a bunch of roads, off-ramps, weird U-turns and inscrutable road signs, all into said pot, stirred it several times over, and named the result New Jersey.

Question - in a normal situation (i.e. a normal judge), should the judge - or *anyone* - remind a defendant that chaining himself to counsel that acts for additional parties may run counter to his personal interest?
