and we need to run the boston marathon for about 35,000,000 years before we hit proxima centauri

if every boston marathon that has ever taken place had the same # of participants as last year, the distance run by ever participant ever would have gotten us to the sun 1 or 2 years ago. we need another 127 years of the boston marathon to get back to earth!!
