I cook and live with two cats
My dad baked a cake every year for a family tradition he started. Since he passed, I started baking the cake even though I don't like sweets. This year's cake turned out tasty and was ate quickly by my friends 😁

I, too, often wonder what my cats dream about when they kick their legs when in deep sleep, and this comic could be one explanation. Plus, the thought made me giggle 😄

My cats' friend came back for breakfast 😄

I was in the bathroom closest to the backdoor when I heard Dinkinesh being chatty with what sounded like another cat. I thought my cats' friend had come inside, but they were just talking through the cat door. I put a little bowl of food out for them in hopes that one day they will let me pet them 😁

I sautéed the green pepper, onion, and spring mix in my cast iron pan with avocado oil and boiled the noodles in a small sauce pan. When the veggies were done, I added a bit of oyster sauce to balance the flavors and then fried an egg in the cast iron. I also added an egg to the noodles.

The sunnyside up version of this breakfast is superior to how I have cooked this dish with scrambled eggs in the past. I added the spring mix in because it was in my fridge. Surprisingly to me, the wilted greens ended with a subtle nori flavor to them.

I forgot to include avocado oil in the first photo, but this is my current breakfast choice. It needs work. I think the next time I cook it, I'm going to give up on the scramble or omelet hopes to just serve sautéed veggies with two sunnyside up eggs.

Three days of cooking to get all this on the table 😅

I made a bone broth sausage and herb dressing, caramelized onion sour cream dip, green bean casserole with a mushroom gruyère mornay sauce, baked turkey, two styles of gravy, and my great grandmother's ambrosia.

I'm sooo glad to be done babysitting this pot of onions. It took over four hours and is just for the bottom layer of a green bean casserole.

I had never tried La Choy's canned chicken chow mein. The sauce tasted like someone took a basic Japanese curry and mixed in more sugar than what is added to sweet tea in the south. I added a bunch to this dish to bring balance, but it was still too sweet for me.

Here's another recipe experiment I conducted. I would explain more, but I would need more words than this app allows.

Sometimes simplicity tastes best, and other times I find myself adding a chili crisp mayo drizzle to an already over processed frozen pizza.

I need a friend to photoshop a microphone.

Both images are being censored, and both tell a similar tale. Why can't we monetize peace?

I had one remaining recycled peanut container of homemade bone broth. I could have cooked with it, but I was in the mood for a savory tea. I discarded the fat, brought the broth to a boil, and mixed in the ingredients in the photo. The end result tasted similar to miso soup 😬

I haven't cooked with eggs in a while, so tonight I made a noodle dish with two eggs prepared three separate ways 😄

I had the idea that a Thai peanut sauce dish would be nice for dinner, but I don't currently have rice noodles or peanut butter. I did have sweet potato noodles and biscoff spread, so this happened. With some more testing, I think this could be something special 😬

I recently purchased 20 pounds of pepperoni at a discount store for $5. This is the first recipe that came to mind to cook. This dish has no name, so what would you call it?
