Here for cars, BattleTech, Star Trek memes, SFF books, Lego, hot legal takes, and, let's be honest, some good old-fashioned doomscrolling.
And another BattleTech novel hero 'Mech, Trenton Marik's lightly customized RFL-7N2 Rifleman, Habeas Corpus.

Katie Ferraro's Kit Fox, Kagekitsune, from @swankmotron.com's excellent Fox Patrol series. Here loaded in Alt Config B.

An Adder/Puma, this one with the Primary, A, and B configurations, depending on whether you want to deliver relativistic charged particles, missiles, or a combination of lasers and lead. Star Adder Alpha Galaxy livery. I really love the way the transparent bright green cockpit canopy pops.

Posting a few more #Lego #BattleTech 'Mechs tonight, starting with the Viper/Dragonfly. I always thought the high-mobility medium scout was interesting, and this is a weird-looking little dude. Clan Ghost Bear Theta Galaxy colors on this one.

First up, the Shadow Cat. In 1995, I got TRO: 3058 for my birthday, and this was my favorite ‘Mech in the book. I loved the Gauss rifle arm, protruding cockpit, and Timber Wolf-style reverse legs with offset knees. This one is in Diamond Shark Alpha Galaxy colors. #BattleTech #Lego #MechWarrior

That Nardi is probably my top, too, but I also really like the Momo in the 4th-gen Subaru Legacy GT. The autos have shift buttons on the 3 and 9 spokes, but no audio controls and the cruise control has its own stalk at 4 o'clock behind the wheel. As it should.

I've had my Legacy GT wagon for 19 1/2 years. Getting ready to sell soon, and that's giving me feelings.

My wall of shame, plus a bonus pic of the rental truck carrying everything that fit or on the Subaru when it decided to take a break (oars were on the roof rack unless the car was parked overnight).

Looking up articles about the 4th-gen Legacy and I found this Subaru press site: www.subaru.co.jp/en/news/arch...
My favorite line: "The sharp, bold design of the headlamps reveals the image of the sharp eyes of a falcon, which ultimately represents individuality."
Also bonus Engrish.

Beautiful. I love that this is basically the same color as my old Ice Blue Metallic Camry with its blue velour interior.

Also spotted on this evening's walk: both generations of Golf R32 parked next to each other, some immortal Euro iron, the Japanese GOATwagon, and an adorable toy truck.

I have to think this was parked here intentionally. Beautiful El Camino! #weirdcarbs #carspotting

I can always count on SE Portland for great car spotting, and this morning's coffee and pastry run absolutely delivered with these cars all parked on the same block. Apparently they sold a few hundred Think Cities in the US. #weirdcarbs #carspotting

Nice.

Also, these are some of my favorite breakfast tacos, always worth visiting when in Portland.

Not on the same level as a Lagonda, but seeing an i8 at the track was a bit of a surprise to me

Blackwings are cool, but seeing this ETC reminded me that today's Cadillac is missing out on the massive demand for FWD transverse V8 coupes with four speed slushboxes.
