When I was a teen I used to fuck around with whatever seemed cool for tweaking things (Gentoo).
As an adult(?) that needs things to work I usually go for whatever suits my needs best out of the box and has good overall support.
You can mix and match most things so it’s flexible anyway

Interests can change all the time! It’s great to share the things we like in the moment even if it isn’t something we go “all-in” on. Often we feel the need for our interests to be our identity when really they might just be a thing we are into at a time.

Hear hear. The best part of the 30's is embracing not giving a shit about the inconsequential stuff people may judge you on. Dress silly, have fun, few people give a damn about you living your best life and most who do aren't worth wasting your energy on.

At 37 I've found myself opening up _more_ to connect with folks. While those of us in our 30's may have our groups, this time in our life is full of flux and change. I had a strong community in my town but many friends had to move for work, family, or other reasons. Always good to meet new folks!

Unfortunately I think the Movie industry doesn’t do that terribly much anymore, it’s kinda struggling for the same reasons (ballooning budgets and onky greenlighting sequels, remakes, and “safe” IPs).
Kinda like the movie industry a lot of the cool groundbreaking stuff happens in the indie space
