Huh they really did. But from what i can tell that only affects hardware that already would have been much too weak for win 11. The two features which at the beginning were forcing people to upgrade are much newer and still technically not necessary

You don't quite understand the problem. Win11 didn't require the new cpus because of the architecture, they set the requirement without actually needing it. That's why a registry change works to let you install it
