I don't think Arteta and his team have had any other training in recent years. there wasn't a massive wave of injuries then. we’re not lucky with that this year. Liverpool didn't have it last year. this is it.

But in the process they forget about creativity, the power of surprise, the unexpected. It's a simple evolutionary story. If you overuse one side, the other will regress. That's how much Arteta should give back. He should rethink the Arsenal of two or three years ago. maybe.

I had this thought too, but the success of Kompany and Maresca refutes it. They are also Pep clones. The problem is basically that they over-regulate their players and they develop into "robots" who do the things the managers ask them to do mechanically. ->

my problem is that it will be even harder to come back from here, looking to the future, when a Chelsea is built, City won't always be as shitty as they were this year, Pool looks solid and we'll see what happens to United in the long term with Amorim.
