As everyone else is saying, Platner is fair game. And I like Mamdani, but that imam he took a pic with seems problematic. There’s so much to criticize the ADL for. Maybe choose one of the thousand good examples, and not the guy with the Nazi tat.

Laura, thanks for your hard work for Illinois! Speaking as a mainstream liberal Jew in the Chicago area who wants a Jewish State of Israel living peacefully alongside a Palestinian state, I think it’s probably for the best to separate yourself from AIPAC. At this point, it’s just a Bibi defense org.

Also the senate majority can vote to remove the filibuster for this and do it with only 50 votes. So Cruz is lying about this too.

This is a pretty massive logical leap. She condemned, rather than condoned, any violence. Her sentiment is not watered down by any Hamas action. And I imagine religious Jews would censor the picture in a similar way or not use it at all if they were quoting.

This is just bad faith. Many of the excerpts say the opposite. It’s also pretty reasonable that Biden’s team would spend the majority of the time defending Biden in office because pundits like you spent every minute attacking him.

Not to defend Greenblatt, but intermarriage is a concern in the Jewish community not because of supremacy, but because the community is already small and doesn’t want to die out, and because traditionally, the children of non-Jewish mothers are not considered Jewish. It’s a self-preservation thing.
